[Rockhounds] Quartzsite & Clouds jamboree

Grant,
   
  This will be the first year that my wife and I are retired and we plan on making our first trip out that way.  We have no idea as to what is the best time to be there or what we will need to do about motel/camping arrangements.  One thing I'd like to try is some of my own hunting in the area.  Is there someplace that novices to Quartzite/Clouds like ourselves can write/look to get some info so we can plan our trip?  Then, yes we may be there at that time.
