[Rockhounds] Yellowstone caldera becoming active

This gives me an opportunity to recommend a recent but obscure
(self-published?) work of fiction, "Yellowstone Farewell", which is
about an explosion of the caldera in contemporary times. (Could it
happen? Who knows? The timing is right...)
The book was written by a geologist and includes amazingly
semi-technical (educational) passages that would probably turn off
laymen, but makes for fascinating reading for rockhounds. Also the
story itself is pretty well done. I bought a copy from the author a
year or two ago at a rock show in Wyoming.
