[Rockhounds] petrified wood from Glass Buttes, OR?

Friends: I have been to Glass Butte only twice, but spent a lot of time
traversing the Butte. I found nothing that looks like the description
of the "wood". Lots of mahogany obsidian, some that is nearly all
mahogany colored and dull, but still, clearly, obsidian and not wood.
