[Rockhounds] Benjamin Shaub Cover Question

Dear List,
    Happy 4th o' July (a bit late).  Hope you all had a safe and wonderful celebration.
    Here's a quick question for the crack team of mineral collectors on our list here:  
In 1975, Benjamin Shaub published a book called Treasures from the Earth:  The World of Rocks & Minerals.  On the dust jacket cover is a terrific picture of a tourmaline and smoky quartz specimen.  Is this specimen from San Diego, CA or from Maine?  Or somewhere else?
