The New York State Museum (Institute)in Albany purchased the NY portion of the Philadelphia Academy collection that was up for sale earlier this year, 400 or so specimens. I expect the better quality material will be on permanent display before too long. BTW, these specimens wern't considered part of the Vaux bequest.
