both opal and chalcedony fluoresce, but opal is usually pale green or
white, while chalcedony is usually blue or white. Common opal, which
peruvian material is considered, most often has green fluorescence.
Chrysocolla does not fluoresce, so it should not affect the background
mineral. Most of it fluoresced with green flecks or areas or none,
though a few had patches of purple/blue....so it seems to be mostly
opal, but could contain a mixture.
