[Rockhounds] Rockhounding Comic

In trying to figure out what was funny about this cartoon, I kept thinking he was putting them off the porch with a golf putter, but couldn't see any. 

Oh Well, must be the regional sense of humor at work.

It did look like the rocks were moving, but I wasn't sure if they were  being 
rolled away, or moving under their own power.  Maybe he is indeed  "setting 
them free".
 
Kreigh, you obviously have a much more refined sense of humor than we  
peasants!
