[Rockhounds] Status of Collecting at the Diatomite Mines

Hello Everyone:

I will be heading through eastern Washington State later this month, and I
was hoping someone on the list could confirm if the owners of the diatomite
mine east of Vantage and north of Beverly still allowed collecting of the
common opal found there in abundance. They used to allow collecting on the
weekends when the mine wasn't operating, but it has been a few years for me,
and I wanted to double check.
