That does look good. I see they also do I Can't Make You Love Me, which seems to be turning into a contemporary torch-song standard. Thanks for the tip! I'll be (legally) downloading it tonight...

Subject: [Postcard2] Rob Ickes' Road Song
The new CD by Rob Ickes (dobro player with Blue Highway), "Road Song",
is a completely unexpected highlight of my musical year. Rob plays
resonator guitar, Michael Alvey plays piano, and Robinella sings on a
few tracks. They do a series of popular jazz tunes such as Song For
My Father, West Coast Blues, Caravan, etc. (plus one Hank Williams
tune, "You Win Again").
This is nothing remotely like bluegrass. It's acoustic jazz, not
string band stuff. The dobro sounds remarkably fine on this CD. One
of my top ten of the year, no question.
I highly recommend it. http://resorevolution.com/RoadSong.html for
details and some short audio clips.
