[Postcard2] introduction

I am new to the list but a ong-time fan of the music. I am a writer for The Herald Bulletin newspaper in Anderson, IN. I am sports editor there but do write some music features and reviews and will be including this music very soon. I have worked for several years for the country magazine Country Standard Time. I am putting the groundwork together right now for a blog called "Outskirts of Country" there.
 
I look forward to learning a lot and participating in some lively discussions here. I hope I can contribute something substantial to this community.
 
Right now what's on my CD player is an advance copy of the Bottle Rockets' "Lean Forward" which comes out in August. I'm reviewing it for CST. I'm also preparing for an interview I'm doing with a member of the Old 97s prior to their show in Indianapolis next month.
