No, they're not. I've never weighed my Tele or my Strat, but I have 
weighed my Les Paul Recording. 13 f*cking pounds. That was my only good 
electric guitar from 1976 to sometime in the 90s. I think playing it (in 
the earlier years, 5 - 6 nights per week) wrecked my left shoulder.
