[Postcard2] Visiting Nashville and Austin

I may be visiting both Nashville and Austin soon, and I would be interested to 
have recommendations for good music venues in both cities.

In Nashville, I have heard about places like The Station Inn, The Bluebird Cafe 
and Robert's. In Austin, I have heard about The Broken Spoke, The Continental 
Club, Ginny's, and Jovita's; and, further afield, Gruene Hall.

Obviously, I know I need to check the listings to see who's playing in any of 
these places on any particular night; what I'm trying to find out is which in 
general are the good places to go. (And, for that matter, which might be places 
to avoid.)

Thanks. Broadening things out a little, recommendations of other things to see 
and do in or around both cities would be very welcome.
