[Postcard2] Lost Music Saloon: PLAYLIST: July 21, 2008: European Music

The Lost Music Saloon has dedicated past programs to music from
Canada  and Australia that fits the alt-country/roots/bluegrass/modern
folk/twang/etc  styles favored here in the Saloon. Today we took a
long listen to music from  European artists and bands, concentrating
(mostly) on continental Europe.  Some of this music sounds like it
could have come straight out of American  clubs or studios, but many
of tonight's songs bore unmistakable Eurasian  accents, and a couple
even featured non-English lyrics. I borrowed liberally  from the
recent, and excellent, '10 Years of European World of  Bluegrass:
America & Europe Join Hands' a 2-CD compilation of 48 bands  from 15
countries.
