>Did any other Nashvegans see the show?
I did.. I waited until the day of the concert before buying a ticket, that's
how unsure I was about attending this concert.
While I love Alison Krauss and have seen her many times with Union Station,
I just couldn't get my head around these two singing together.
I'm very glad I went. Putting these two together was an interesting musical
experiment that worked out very well. (Of course T-Bone Burnett had a hand
in it, so you know it's got a shot.) And that's the real reason I went.. I
wanted to see T-Bone onstage.. I wasn't disappointed. In my opinion the
"band" was the real show here.. Buddy Miller, Stuart Duncan, T-Bone, and I'm
sorry.. I can't remember the drummers name, but he was the best damn drummer
I've ever heard.
While I'm not a Zeppelin fan one of the highlights of the show was Plants
version of Townes Van Zandt's "Nothin' ".
They've extended the tour with a few more dates.. I'd certainly recommend
it..
(The Zeppelin fans are still out there. I had breakfast at The Pancake
Pantry the next morning with a couple from Orlando Florida who drove to
Nashville for the concert.. They were wearing their Zeppelin T-shirts.)
