First, I believe this thread was started only because Kevin wanted to use the subject line. Ol' Willie and Wynton! Ha. LMAO, which I belive I have never written anywhere before in my life. And if you've ever seen my ass, you know the substantive quality of the remark.

Anyway, Richard wrote >>>>
If you want one place to start with Willie, I suggest the recent four CD box set (which Costco has for the amazing price of $20)<<<<

And not as a poke at RF, who doesn't deserve it, but is the corresponding wholesale price also available to the local, independent stores that were once the lifeblood of the industry? Somehow, I doubt it.

20 bucks for a box set of that magnitude is sick. And not in a good way. Who's making anything off that?

Support your local independent retailer. Over pay today! At least that is what it sometimes feels like when paying a reasonable amount for a disc- say $15 or $20 and then seeing it beside the pickles in Super Wal-Mart for $8.

By the way, the first 40 albums on the emusic subscriber top 100 have been posted. A few surprises, to me, but was nice to see Dar, Sparks!, and Prine in the bottom 40...on the list, I mean.

Yes, I am procrastinating from writing my paper.
