As did I (at least with the out-of-the-mainstream bunch).  I hope his
treatment is successful.  Duane's been one of my favorites (both as a
sideman and his solo work) for a long time.  One of my favorite non-musical
Jarvis moments was at the Calgary Folk Fest last year.  Jarvis was backing
up PJ Sloan.  P2er Jay Nelson introduced Sloan as "PJ Sloan with the
legendary Duane Jarvis."  Needless to say the guitar on "Secret Agent Man"
never sounded better.
