Alchemy, an installation by Steve Peters & Christine Wallers, runs 
March 1-30 at the Portland Art Center:

Opening reception: Thursday March 1, 6 to 10 PM
Artist talk: Saturday March 3 at 2 PM.

Originally made for an old adobe chapel in New Mexico, this is the 
piece we presented last year at CoCA in Seattle as part of the In 
Resonance show at Bumbershoot. It consists of a series of large brass 
bowls suspended from the ceiling, with sound projected through the 
bowls themselves. Whispering voices are electronically transformed as 
they travel from bowl to bowl through the space.
