Hate to be obnoxious, but I'm hoping for a good audience for this show.
I know it's an unusual venue, but it should be very nice and they are
visiting from Vancouver, BC, so please support our efforts at
cross-border interaction.

The Zen of One String, the Tao of Many: New Music for Asian Instruments
Nonsequitur and Taoist Studies Institute are pleased to present the
international duo of Chinese guzheng virtuoso Mei Han and Canadian
composer and multi-instrumentalist Randy Raine-Reusch in a concert of
contemporary music for traditional Asian instruments. Firmly rooted in
the classical and folk traditions of China and other Asian musics,
these artists build upon that ancient foundation to create beautiful
and challenging new works for the 21st century. Located in what was
once the sanctuary of a Presbyterian church in Seattle's Phinney Ridge
neighborhood, the Taoist Studies Institute is a perfect intimate venue
for this evening of music inspired by the contemplative spirit of
Taoism and Buddhism.
Saturday, April 22 at 8 PM
