[Muscle] Door locks

The card body (the plastic carrier) can be one of several configurations. The most common for javacards with an RF capability seems to be Mifare. But there are companies that can provide cards or card bodies that have the more normal prox card RF capabilities (either instead of or in addition to Mifare). There are also a number of different frequencies used for the prox readers - you have to buy compatible cards.

There are a few different systems used for prox card access and most don't use the smart card capabilities. You could build one pretty easily using the Mifare (ISO14443) RF - but you'd probably have to replace most of the existing readers.

It's very unlikely that my company would fund a custom solution, so there has to be a company out there that offers this ability.
