Hi,

I am trying to use RFIDiot (from Adam Laurie's www.rfidiot.org) using an OmniKey Cardman 5321. I am using Fedora 9 (x86_64) with all updates, but seem to be having trouble with PCSCLite or libusb ... don't exactly know what is going on ...

I removed the pcsc-lite package that came with Fedora (yum remove pcsc-lite -y) and installed it from source (latest version - pcsc-lite v.1.4.102), using the --enable-libusb, --enable-extendedapdu and --disable-libhal parameters, and undefined ADD_SERIAL_NUMBER in hotplug_libusb.c as recommended by the OmniKey Cardman 5321 driver (ifdokrfid_lnx_x64-2.6.0) downloaded directly from OmniKey's homepage ...

When I run pscsd with the reader disconnected, it shows this:

[root at XXXXX ~]# pcscd -f00000000 pcscdaemon.c:280:main() pcscd set to foreground with debug send to stderr00011773 pcscdaemon.c:498:main() pcsc-lite 1.4.102 daemon ready.
But if I connect it or disconnect it, nothing happens. When I press CTRL-C, I get:

02151639 pcscdaemon.c:563:signal_trap() Preparing for suicide01000106 readerfactory.c:1348:RFCleanupReaders() entering cleaning function00000026 pcscdaemon.c:523:at_exit() cleaning /var/run/pcscd[root at XXXXX ~]#

If I run pcsc with the reader connected, I get:
[root at XXXXX ~]# pcscd -f00000000 pcscdaemon.c:280:main() pcscd set to foreground with debug send to stderr00000458 pcscdaemon.c:498:main() pcsc-lite 1.4.102 daemon ready.00065606 hotplug_libusb.c:476:HPAddHotPluggable() Adding USB device: 002:00300000062 readerfactory.c:1082:RFInitializeReader() Attempting startup of OMNIKEY CardMan 5x21 00 00 using /usr/local/pcsc/drivers/ifdokrfid_lnx_x64-2.6.0.bundle/Contents/Linux/ifdokrfid.so00109206 readerfactory.c:949:RFBindFunctions() Loading IFD Handler 3.0OK OMNIKEY CardMan RFID  X64 v2.6.0 support at omnikey.com00000370 readerfactory.c:1121:RFInitializeReader() Open Port 200000 Failed (usb:076b/5321:libusb:002)00000012 readerfactory.c:994:RFUnloadReader() Unloading reader driver.00000032 readerfactory.c:249:RFAddReader() OMNIKEY CardMan 5x21 init failed.

With the "RFInitializeReader() Open Port 200000 Failed" line in red ...

After that, if I connect/disconnect the reader nothing happens .... When I press CTRL-C same thing as before is shown.

I have libusb and libusb-devel from Fedora dist (version 0.1.12-15)

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated ... If anyone is wondering what the is the error that I get from RFIdiot, here it is:

[root at XXXXX RFIDIOt-0.1s]# ./isotype.py establishcontext failed: 8010001dTraceback (most recent call last): File "./isotype.py", line 28, in <module> import RFIDIOtconfig File "/root/Download/RFIDIOt-0.1s/RFIDIOtconfig.py", line 107, in <module> card= RFIDIOt.rfidiot(readernum,readertype,line,speed,timeout,debug) File "/root/Download/RFIDIOt-0.1s/RFIDIOt.py", line 64, in __init__ self.pcsc_protocol= smartcard.scard.SCARD_PCI_T1NameError: global name 'smartcard' is not defined

Thanks for any help you can give me ....
