Ok, I did not look at it because I thought it was just to take care of the 
libusb stuff.  Having looked closer now, I can see you have some build things 
in it. Thanks for the pointer.

Martin,
did you use a combination of Ludovic's patch and the one you sent to the list, 
or just the build stuff from Ludovic's patch and the one you sent to the list?
i.e., can Ludovic's patch be much smaller for leopard, or do I layer your 
patch onto his?

I will probably try layering before I head out for holiday.

Kind of hoping you can give me a new year's present... you get finished before

So if I understand the build script correctly, it is used to build a ccid 
driver for each reader bundle, and then that is installed _beside_ the ones 
from Apple. Correct?
